ようびん

today i went to a giant anime store with my host sister, its three levels with manga, plushies, genral merch, cds dvds and such paraphanalia. twas fun and i get very exctied about it all as i do when i see anything anime related. i spent 1,000¥ or $10 and brought an evangelion screen protector for my iphone and a little cheap badge to wear on my mask...

which brings me to another topic, the flu (in"flu" enza).on the the trains i have been wearing my a mask, and when i get home i wash my hands(with disinfectant soap) and my nodo (throat, with stuff the colour of betadine, scary). its the flu, i have had similar before, the fact i have had it a few times means its always mutating.

exams are over so back to normal school on monday, today was a holiday (yay) and next weekend i change host familys (nooo). necko ears are still not made though i have more pairs now. might get into kateika(home ec) -bu.

home life is awesomly homely, went to hip-hop dance with my host sisters thisevening and that was interesting. i have a bandaid alergy(not related to the last sentance but i just thought i would add that) getting a little homesick and study is getting to me, jfie sent some more work books and i cant even do the first question. small problem there.

i think thats all for now, thankyou for all the people who sent me parcels, michelle, mummy. they are wonderful and i am enjoying them very much. tim tams are very yummy. been craving rocky horror and queen, so if anyone has them send them to either this address or the next familys address that i will aquire at the end of this week.

love belinda.

かぜ

short post today, just to let you all know how things are progressing.

today was windy and a tad chilly,my mood is strange today as i continue to struggle with the language and learn my daily words.my host sisters are busy studying and club has been halted untill after the exams. where has all my sunshine gone (soon to be summer here, dont worry,it will be back soon)

yes dad in reply to your reply *giggle* i spent 23 hours today away from the computer and you notice how i am not on much to post. i post when i get online,so you can see how much i am on. thankyou for your reply.

and a brush for the flu!!!!!
thismorning while i was watching the news and looking at the pretty pictures flash across the screen, they showed the map...the one with white for safe and red for infected. i know its just one person in aus, but i really want to come home to my friends and family, all of you.
so please take care, remember to wash your hands and avoid citys where any infected individual has been found. i care much for you all, please be careful.

school life
as i mentioned bukatsu(club) has been halted for about the next two weeks and everyone is studying hard to get good marks. (makes me think about my hsc and my brain flights over wether i did well enough, best not to think about things i cant change.( i left that in aus and shall resume when i return. ))

in music we are doing singing and piano, slowly getting use to the piano though i still cant play and the singing is great though in japanese.

sport is the animal dance, my teams dance is far from what i invisioned. when sensei found i was giving all the ideas she warned that it was to be a group production, so i am quiet now and the dance has not progressed much further since.

practical home economics has also stopped for the exams as students study text books.

had my first tea ceremony, or atleast the practic of one, seiza is painful and the hanky folding thing is confusing muchly.

langauge is my study at school, and thats going okay but i feel that i should be learning more somehow. and i know if i try i will crash and burn and be unhappy. i like being happy and at school and home now i should have no reason i be unhappy.

finally..
please remember my warning about the flu and if need be, locate the nearest place to get tamiflu.

love you all.

new blog time as i eat the corn soup my host mother made. :)

not that much to report on this week appart from the fact that i have settling into my host family well. but am beginning to miss aus.

the days have been hot recently and so i will finally get to wear my summer seifuku :) but you all know how i loooooove the hot 0.0 . it reminded me so much of aus that i had a weird dream yesterday while i was having my weekend after lunch nap, that i dreampt of townsville.

much new stuff coming out for the summer holidays though including the new harry potter, new kingdom hearts game and best of all new evangelion.

still not fluent but i think i am getting somewhere.

almost lost my meitetsu and chikatetsu ticket (tain and subway) on an escalator, got caught and my host sister and i spent about 15 minutes trying to get it back, just enough time to make us both later for school.

speaking of school, i am no longer alowed to use the school computers as students must study and i am to much of a distraction.o.o honestly now!

thats all for this blog, short and sweet.

much love to you all.

おたく

time for a new blog everyone.
welcome to anyone who is reading this for the first time today, Mr bardsley and ms johns.

for the past 4 days i have been enjoying golden week, its all the one day holidays throughout the year that get mashed together to make 4 days of freedom.

usually family's go to fun places like Disneyland and such during this time, my host family, their extended family and i went to a flower garden called blue bonnet. there were many pretty flowers but it was a bright overcast day and my eyes were not coping, i spent most of the time with my Sunny's on (thanks for those dad) . after that we went back to a hotel where my host family had hired a conference room so we could play tennis, my first team was with chinami and we lost 5-1 my second team was with chinami and aya`s cousin, he and i won 6-0 *giggle*. after that i had a shower at the hotel.....group baths, and you have to get nakey, infront of other people!!!! i waited untill the other ladys had left then chinami and i went in. kinda scary but i washed my hair and made funny shapes with it that made chinami giggle.

the next day we went to visit my host mothers brother and sister, her brother is an otaku and he burnt me a copy of not only the new evengelion movie but ffav . at his house i played the demo of the new ff13 game. you should have seen how happy i was,it was like heaven.i swear i have met him and his wife before and their house felt a little like Michelle's apartment. a comfy otaku abode, big tv with rediculous colour quality in a relativly small room, consoles tucked away neatly. they had a ps3. rather smexy.
my host mothers sisters house was less exciting but good still, she has two daughters one of which is my age and seems to be perfect, she showed us all her glossy graduation book which is about the size of those big atlas books. however they did have a wii and a ps2 on which i played kh1, my reunion with sora made we ever so happy though i wish it was kh2. the fun stoped when my host mothers father, who had come over, began smoking inside with no windows open. i sat quietly taking short breaths, so afraid of getting cancer. o.o but i almost passed out and had to slink off to the bathroom and take a few desperate gasps of clean air a few times.

making neko ears (cat ears) out of scraps from the hanten we are making in home economics. maybe they will be presents, maybe i will sell them.muha! extra ennnnnnn.

family is great and i might pick up my mail from the taguchi house sometime.
my new address is

24-20 toyoda 2choume, minamiku nagoya

please do send mail if you would, but remember i am only here for a month.

family i love you, mainge, thankyou for your mail. maybe i will reply later on, sometime in the next week.

finally a title in english.

Its friday!
time for my weekly post childrens.

this week so much has happend including the controversial host family change and the one month mark. other then that i also have some minor things to report so here we go.

first of all i shall let you all know that my new host family reminds me of my family at home. two teenage daughters like me and mainge but one year yonger, a mother who does housework and makes me an obento box every day, a father who is nice and kool at the same time :) (he kinda looks like Austin Powers) *giggle* my room is my host sisters room and she sleeps in the same room as her older sister.(mum can you please send some great auzzie gifts for her, something very auzzy and of value, she is very generous) washing and floor mopping is no longer my job and as long as i put my clothes in the basket downstairs they get washed and folded. (you have no idea how much i am thankful for that!,i still take them in with my host sister in the evening) i help the girls with their english and they help me with my japanese. they come home and watch disney channel !! like proper children, we watch it together and its in japanese so i can practice my listening, they like hanna montana and in the evening we sometimes watch the american comedy full house. they are a family!!! one like i know and love in aus... its making me think about life in aus a little and though i am a tad homesick its so nice to be able to think of you. i have time for things like that now. i have time to be me. its so very nice.

got new school shoes a few weeks ago, they are blue and white and they have my name on them in katakana. minasan(everyone) was very impressed with my neat katakana. also mum and dad i had to buy a new train ticket, it costed about 7,800 en. which is cheaper than the 15,000 en first proposed but is where the money went. also i got a new capiburra-chan, a school one. it cost me 200en (2.50 dollars) at the claw machine, got it first time too.

about friends
i have made many friends with whome i chat which include the members of the schools famous best in japan basketball team. nouko is the class leader and she is kind and funny, risking being late to walk with me to sport when i was late to get changed. misako is good at speaking english, she went to canada not long ago for three weeks and has been teaching me new words and sentances if i need them and she knows them. met a girl with a natural silvery white streak in her hair, her name is elanor(elena in japan) and she is very nice and cute. i have friends at kendo and ess, the club my host sister is a member of, her name is aiya and her sister is chinami. dorio taught me the word "hamu" the meaning of which i still dont know. yuka* happy sigh* or yuka, both of them, one is sempai(third year, lat year at highschool) at elastobu(anime club) and she is wonderously nice, many students really like her and hug her alot, including me, when i am unhappy i run to yuka and hug her,it makes me feel better. other yuka is chinese, i met her on my first day of school and she told me of how she likes to speak english more than japanese because her japanese is apparently not that good. i think its amazing she knows three languages and i chat to her on my way home. mikano has amazing eyes for a japanese girl, they are brown but they have many small darker brown spots, like a leopard. then there is the girl i call wife, her friends call her oksan, which is japanese for..well wife.please remind me to ask her real name.also chan you have a lookalike who is in the drama club, her name is ami and she loves drama and confessed her cosplayer love to me. yes, she also cosplays, and we shall get photos sometime together for you.

at school
enjoying my free lessons in the library and learning alot during them, i was given text books and i was able to skip about half of their contents as i have already learnt it.in kateika(home economics) we are making a hanten, i forgot to buy material so sensei found me some. she is very amazed with my ability to thread a machine by myself(thanks grandma) but today i broke a sewing machine needle, there is no foot pedal on the machine, you press a button and it starts. freaking scary and i almost ran over my finger many times. pe is dance and our theme is animal, its ironic as i am the ideas girl, the ideas are in my head but the words arnt yet. *giggle* luckily i can draw. the theory pe teacher is so funny, he pulls faces when there is silence. very amuseing. kanji is being hard to learn but i am getting there and i am able to answer baisic questions and join in baisic conversations using simple sentances like " i have been there, it was fun". and i can tell people a little about aus such as"australias food is many countrys food, but a really australian food is the meat pie"

tomorrow is school for half a day, but next week is golden week so a holiday untill wednesday.

hope your all well and that you got my mail.
love you all and am thinking of you.
