narita

hello all, after my short blog yesterday i thought i would fill you all in better.
yesterday and today are a blur and i cannot tell when one finished and ended.
flights were good but when helen said"lunch will be in sydney" she did mean on the flight, not that we would be able to have time to chill out and have a nice dinner after the flight. >.<
still i have a tummy ache, i dont know what it is.
i ate some kushi dango(sweet dumplings) and pocky. nummy

kyou...

one of the longest days of my life started as soon as we got off that flight (which got in at 6am narita time by the way) we grabbed lunch then straight to the hotel where we thought we would be given some rest, but instead we are told to put our bags down for the moment and that our tour of japan will start now :(
the day turned out to be amazing even though i had tummy pains.
tokyo is amazing, just so strange and weird and i love it. i took many photos but they will not be put up untill i get to host family probably.
we visited a japanese juniour school where we were greated by many eager japanese students who wanted to hear both our english and japanese.
helen had set us a task or preparing a presentation for these students about australia, i organised by team and took charge making sure that we picked some relavent, ruth and i made sure each state was represented by a speaker who stated theri name, where they were from , and what life was like in that city. i got perth as noone in our group lived there and i had been there.
we played "ice breaking games" which allowed for the japanese students and us to play and enjoy getting to be together. i was in the middle of two really kind japanese girls and we help hands, and even at one point sat on eachothers lap during a trust game.
japanese and exchange students took turns giving reports, some of them well done, some not so,but all funny and amusing:) we made origami and chatted using our second language :)
i met a girl named megumi , the name of my beloved red panda travel companion.
we all got given purple headscalfs with the name of the host school, i am wearing mine now.
kyou no ban
got back to the hotel and i met my room mate who arrived from new zealand today, her name is kwan ki but she likes to be called queenie :) shes really kind and she has a blanky, makes me wish i brought mine. dinner was yummy but not very japanese >.< dessert was vanilla and green tea icecream :) now i will go shower and brush teeths then early bed before another suposedly big day tomorrow. michelle i brought you a present and mum i brought a nice new face washer. my lips are dry, remind me to get cream for them sometime .
